Web + mobileEventsCreatorsBusinesses

Create and publish an event

Host free, paid, pre-sale, virtual, hybrid, or page-hosted events — including Scale-powered no-prize challenge showcases.

On web

  1. 1Choose Host an event or open Dashboard, then Create event.
  2. 2Add the event basics: title, description, category, cover image, visibility, age policy, and collaborators.
  3. 3Choose ticketing: free, paid direct checkout, interest list, pre-sale, or location-reveal pre-sale. Turn on Run a virtual challenge showcase to add free contestant applications and audience, judge, or hybrid recognition. New self-service showcases have no prize of monetary value and require the Scale creator plan.
  4. 4Add schedule, timezone, venue or virtual details, capacity, refund policy, and any ticket tiers or discounts.
  5. 5Review the summary and publish. Paid events require payout onboarding, and some page-hosted paid events require Business Plus.
  6. 6For a showcase, open the competition manager while the round is a draft to order contestants and publish the first slot, per-contestant duration, optional transition time, and readiness deadline.

On mobile

  1. 1Tap the center Create tab.
  2. 2Complete Basics, Tickets, Schedule, and Review.
  3. 3Choose whether to post as yourself or as a page you administer when that option is available.
  4. 4Add pricing, capacity, pre-sale settings, location or virtual details, and refund terms.
  5. 5Tap Create or Publish. If a paid or virtual feature needs a plan or payout setup, finish that step on web if prompted.

Important notes

  • Free accounts can host free events. Live-only virtual networking and mixers require Creator Pro or Scale; virtual and hybrid challenge showcases require Scale. Paid and page-hosted money-taking flows can also require payout or Business Plus checks.
  • A one-hour run of show fits 20 three-minute contestant slots only when no transition time is added. Readiness is participant-attested, and a missed deadline never creates an automatic forfeiture.
  • Pre-sales only charge if the disclosed minimum and deadline conditions are met.
