Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Quborly uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) when you use the Service. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage.

2. We Use Only Strictly-Necessary Cookies

Quborly does not use advertising, behavioral-tracking, cross-site, or session-replay cookies, and we do not sell your data. We currently set only the cookies required for the Service to work:

• Authentication & session: keep you securely signed in (set by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Security: protect against fraud and abuse, including during payment.
• Location preference (qb_loc): remembers the city you choose (or the precise location you grant) so we can show you nearby events. Set only when you make that choice yourself, and never used for tracking or advertising.

Because these are strictly necessary, no cookie-consent banner is required to set them, and there are no non-essential cookies for you to opt out of. If this changes in the future (for example, if we add analytics), we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism where the law requires one.

Error monitoring (no tracking cookies)

We use a privacy-respecting error-monitoring service to detect and fix bugs. It is configured without session replay and without capturing personal information by default, and it does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payments & streaming

When you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies strictly to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. Virtual events use a streaming provider only when you join a live event. These third parties’ use of cookies is governed by their own policies.

3. How Long Cookies Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them, and let us keep you signed in on return visits.

4. Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, blocking them may break core features — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in.

5. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
