Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Quborly uses cookies and similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) when you use the Service. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let the site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used. We also use related technologies such as local storage.

2. The Cookies We Set

Quborly does not use advertising, behavioral-profiling, cross-site, or session-replay cookies, and we do not sell your data. We do not build advertising profiles, and no cookie we set follows you to other websites. These are the cookies we set:

Strictly necessary

• Authentication & session: keep you securely signed in (set by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Security: protect against fraud and abuse, including during payment.
• Location preference (qb_loc): remembers the city you choose (or the precise location you grant) so we can show you nearby events. Set only when you make that choice yourself, and never used for tracking or advertising.

Referral attribution

Two cookies record which link brought you to Quborly, so that the right person is credited. They are first-party and read only by Quborly. They are set only if you actually follow one of these links — browsing Quborly normally never sets them.

• Earn attribution (qb_earn): set when you follow a Quborly Earn partner’s link to an event, and read only at checkout to decide whether that partner earns a commission on your ticket. It stores the link, the event, the partner, and the time you clicked. It expires after 90 days, and each host sets a shorter attribution window that governs whether a sale actually counts. • Referral attribution (quborly_referral): set when you follow someone’s invite link, and read once when you create your account so the referrer receives promotional credit. It is deleted as soon as your signup completes, and expires after 30 days otherwise. See the Referral Credit Program Terms.

Neither attribution cookie is used for advertising, is shared with third parties, or follows you to other sites, and neither is required to browse or buy — clearing them costs you nothing, and only affects whether the person who referred you is credited. You can clear them at any time using your browser settings (section 4), and blocking third-party cookies does not affect them because they are first-party.

We do not run analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no non-essential tracking to opt out of. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide a consent mechanism where the law requires one.

Error monitoring (no tracking cookies)

We use a privacy-respecting error-monitoring service to detect and fix bugs. It is configured without session replay and without capturing personal information by default, and it does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Payments & streaming

When you make a payment, our payment processor (Stripe) may set cookies strictly to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. Virtual events use a streaming provider only when you join a live event. These third parties’ use of cookies is governed by their own policies.

3. How Long Cookies Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them, and let us keep you signed in on return visits.

4. Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, blocking them may break core features — for example, you may not be able to stay signed in.

5. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time and will post the revised version with a new effective date.
